Batman Returns is visually stunning. Tim Burton is a filmmaking genius. Everything about this one is better than the original movie. This is except, of course, the absence of The Joker.

The Sequel - 3.5 out of 5 (6/3/2000)
Batman Returns is a pretty good Batman sequel.
It was dazziling, and entertaining. But, it was
too dark. The movie itself was very ugly. But that
showed a different side of Batman, which was good.
Batman Forever was way better. And Batman And Robin sucked big time.

A great film, great a/v quality. Great features? Erm . . . - 4.25 out of 5 (9/1/1998)
This is Batman at it's best. I loved everything about the film - it's score, the sets, the stunning cinematography.
The first film toyed with the potential, the third film utterly screwed it up, and the fourth was obviously written by class 2 at New York State Grade School.
Well done to Warner Bros on digitally mastering this film, but...uh-oh - where is the trailer? Sure there are production notes, scene access, interactive menus, and widescreen and pan-and-scan versions, just so you can
